Journey

How I got here, in order. No dates — cause i forgot the date just like everything.

Breaking things

It started with curiosity. I liked taking things apart to see how they worked, and I broke a fair amount along the way not to mention i didnt have thermal paste so i used toothpaste on my brix, atleast now its on mx-4.

Jailbreaking an iPhone

checkra1n, then palera1n, and a lot of boot loops. My first lesson in boot chains and not doing it in the first place, but when did i listen. Jailbreak

A hackintosh

I wanted to know if macOS was worth it, so I put it on my own PC and wrote my own EFI to get it stable. Hackintosh

My own apps

Small Swift menu bar tools for problems I actually had. IPWatch, XSweep

Servers

A mini PC at home became a homelab, then I added a cloud server. Hosting, tunnels, containers and fail2ban. Homelab

My own Android ROM

crDroid built from source for my Nothing Phone (2a), with root built in. crDroid ROM

Leaving macOS for Omarchy

I wanted full control, I was tired of fighting the hackintosh, and living in Linux every day is the fastest way to learn it. A tiling window manager sealed it and it looked nice, cause gentoo is straight up poison.
